ToggleMy journey at Axis Communications began more than eight years ago and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience since.
I have had the opportunity through several strategic roles to support and lead Axis’ long-term vision and growth, each deepening my understanding of both our technology and our customers’ needs.
Today, I am proud to lead our newly formed Northern and Eastern Europe region as Regional Director, working alongside more than 100 talented colleagues.
I am passionate about innovation, building strong partnerships amongst our ecosystem and finding smarter ways to meet users evolving requirements.
It is a dynamic and fast-moving industry and I am proud to play a role in shaping its future.
Our core values are deeply embedded in all that we do. Of course, as an industry pioneer, we prioritise innovation and quality.
Axis constantly pushes the boundaries of what is possible and it is this commitment to quality innovation that ensures we deliver reliable and high performing solutions.
Openness is another foundation of our values, both in terms of technology integration with our partner ecosystem and maintaining trust and transparency in all our operations.
We always strive to build strong, trusting relationships with our entire ecosystem, focused on delivering what the end user needs.
But we also spend a great deal of effort communicating to our industry around topics such as sustainability, cybersecurity, industry regulations and more to highlight the importance of operating responsibly.
These values guide our actions and help us achieve our mission of creating a smarter, safer world.
Axis core values play a significant role in the way our management team leads. But more importantly, those values permeate across the entire organisation.
They serve as a compass, guiding how we work, how we collaborate and ultimately how we innovate quality solutions for the market.
By prioritising innovation, we encourage our teams to think big and embrace new ideas.
We have built a culture where curiosity and progress are celebrated, helping us stay ahead in a fast-paced industry.
But what is innovation without quality? Quality is central to everything we aim to achieve.
It drives our decision-making and ensures we consistently deliver excellence in every project.
OPEN London 2025 is our opportunity not just to talk about our core values, but to bring them to life for our entire ecosystem.
One of the first ways these values will shine through is reflected in the very name of the event: OPEN.
None of the solutions on display, from Axis or our technology partners, would be possible without an open approach to business.
This includes open platform integrations, open collaboration and honest, transparent conversations about the future of our industry.
At Allianz Stadium on 7 October, attendees will experience these values in action through the way we connect, share and innovate together.
Openness is at the heart of this event. Whether it is insightful presentations about AI and digital transformation or how our solutions integrate seamlessly with others or how we engage transparently with our ecosystem partners.
Our open approach will be reflected in the honest and informative discussions held during the day.
While this year’s OPEN event builds on the strong foundation we laid in London two years ago, attendees will notice a clear evolution.
This is the 10th outing for OPEN in Europe, so we have learnt a lot about hosting quality events that offer real value to our ecosystem.
Our core messages around AI, digital transformation, cybersecurity and the power of partnership in the security industry remain central, but the conversations have matured and the context has of course shifted in recent years.
AI is one example of this and something we will focus more heavily on this year.
It has become one of the hottest topics in the industry and we will be exploring how it is not just a future technology, but a present-day enabler of smarter security and operations.
Digital transformation is also no longer just a long-term vision, it is happening now and we are seeing real-world examples of how it is driving more agile, intelligent security.
Many of the solutions and discussions will focus on how digital transformation has already had a massive impact on our industry and the opportunities it presents going forward.
Cybersecurity continues to be a critical focus and always will be.
But there are always new threats to counter, updated regulations to decipher and a constant need for greater cross-industry collaboration.
At the heart of all these conversations sits partnership. The power of partnership remains essential and this year we will highlight how tighter integration between technology providers, customers and partners leads to more resilient and scalable outcomes.
At Axis, we are always looking ahead and we see several key trends shaping the future of the security industry over the next five years.
Artificial Intelligence is without a doubt one of the most transformative trends right now.
It is turning security cameras from simple recording tools into intelligent devices capable of analysing and interpreting data in real time.
This shift allows for more proactive and predictive security, where we can prevent incidents, as well as respond to them.
Closely linked to this is the continued rise of edge computing. By moving data processing closer to the source, right on the edge of a camera, we are enabling real-time decision-making.
This is essential for applications that demand instant response, such as traffic management, perimeter protection or industrial automation.
Together, AI and edge computing are reshaping what is possible in the security landscape.
And yes, OPEN London is absolutely designed to help attendees prepare for these shifts.
This is an opportunity for us to help our partners and customers understand how to adopt these innovations effectively to make improve safety and security but also help them operative more efficiently.
The event will offer practical insights, expert-led sessions and real-world examples to help attendees turn these emerging trends into opportunities for growth and stronger business outcomes.
Events like OPEN are incredibly important as they provide a platform to showcase our Technology Integration Partners and highlight the vast opportunities for innovation.
These events bring together diverse minds and technologies, fostering an environment where creative ideas can flourish.
By demonstrating how different technologies can integrate and work together, we not only inspire our partners and customers but also drive the industry forward.
All OPEN events thus far have put a shining light on the power of collaboration and open ecosystems, showcasing real-world applications and success stories that can spark new ideas and solutions.
They are a testament to our commitment to openness and innovation, providing a unique opportunity to explore the future of technology and its potential to create a smarter, safer world.
Beyond being an event you attend, OPEN is a platform for discovery, connection and opportunity.
In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, staying ahead means being open to exploring new opportunities.
Whether it’s understanding the real-world impact of AI, learning how edge processing can enhance agility and efficiency or navigating the complexities of cybersecurity and sustainability, OPEN is designed to spark curiosity and uncover new opportunities to improve safety, security, business intelligence and operational efficiency.
