Amthal Fire & Security has been working with Abels Moving Services Ltd to deliver an all-encompassing take over and upgrade of the fire safety and security solution at its central site.
Based in London, Abels Moving Services is one of the UK’s leading specialist international moving companies.
Recognised for its high commitment to quality, since 1988 and renewed in 2016, it has held a royal warrant to Her Majesty the Queen for removals and storage services.
With specialist teams also renowned for looking after antiques and specialist items, safe and secure storage is a top priority for Abels.
The company has kept true to its mission to be the premier moving company in its chosen niche markets.
When opening their new warehouse an Abels undertook a full risk assessment on fire systems and security, which recommended changes. Abels sourced Amthal, to supply and upgrade all systems across the site, right from perimeter gate automation through to access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and overall fire safety.
James Mehmet, Abels Relocation Manager – London says: “Abels has helped to move thousands of happy customers since the company was founded in 1958”.
“With such a reputation for high-quality to maintain, we have a duty to make sure security and fire safety systems on site are on point. Within this, we have regular risk assessments as part of our maintenance programme and when it was recommended to update our systems, we had no hesitation in moving forward.
“Amthal was a very professional local company who worked directly with us to take over the fire safety and security on site, advising us on all activity undertaken.
“We are especially pleased with the care to install systems around our team with minimal disruption, the quick turnaround, and regular check-ins to ensure a clear understanding of the new solutions in place. We are now continuing to work with them across our other sites to maintain our high-quality services and excellence in customer care across the UK.”
Paul Rosenthal, Amthal Sales Director added: “Abels is rightfully proud of its position as one of the UK’s leading moving companies and the journey it has taken to get there, including Royal recognition, is to say the least impressive. Its decades of experience have helped to shape its company culture and approach taken to its work.
“This can really be seen in the attention to detail, always delivering the utmost care, ensuring everything runs smoothly when it comes to removal services. This is the same as our approach to fire safety and security, understanding our customer requirements right from the specification process to create an all-encompassing solution. Here, we worked together so that all the systems installed were sensitively designed to protect the site and assets, often including prestigious belongings kept in Abel’s care.”
