British professional cyclist and adventurer Hannah Barnes has recently chosen an Asgard bike storage unit, following the theft of equipment from her previous garden shed.
Barnes, who has represented Great Britain at world championships and raced internationally across Europe and the US, reportedly places huge value on her cycling equipment and the need to keep it safe.
SBD reports that like many cyclists, she experienced first-hand the impact of a break-in when her former wooden shed was targeted by thieves.
Barnes said: “Last year, our shed was broken into, which was absolutely devastating.
“So the first thing we did was search for the most secure shed on the market and that’s when we came across Asgard.”
Barnes articulated that after researching secure storage options, she selected the Centurion x6 Bike Shed, one of Asgard’s Secured by Design (SBD) accredited products.
The unit is said to be designed for cyclists requiring both high levels of security and practical storage space, with capacity for up to six bikes and associated equipment.
The Centurion x6 is manufactured from galvanised steel, features a reinforced locking system and is said to withstand both theft attempts and the elements.
Accredited to Police Preferred Specification through Secured by Design, it provides independent assurance that the shed meets recognised security standards.
Installation was reportedly carried out by Asgard’s team and Barnes has been impressed with the result: “The guys came and put it up in a matter of hours.
“It’s absolutely solid and we can sleep easy at night!”
Alfie Hosker, Secured by Design, commented: “Asgard have a long history of supporting our UK athletes and sports personnel with their secure and robust security sheds, storage units and enclosures.
I am delighted Hannah Barnes is pleased with hers and wish her every success in her future sporting endeavours and adventures.”
