Asgard gifts SBD bike storage to the Brownlee Foundation charity

May 16, 2024

Asgard Storage, a Secured by Design (SBD) member company, has partnered with the Brownlees of Team GB fame.

Asgard last collaborated with Alistair Brownlee in 2018 when they provided him with a Secured by Design, Gladiator bike storage unit for his own bikes.

Brownlee has been super impressed with his own Asgard bike storage and so reached out to ask Asgard to help with a local Brownlee Foundation project.

What was donated?

“The Brownlee Foundation is local to Asgard and we have dealt with Alistair before and he was such a nice guy, how could we say no! Timing is everything and on the day Alistar called we had just completed a photoshoot for our Bike Shed x 12 and Alistair was looking for a donation to hold multiple bikes for a local school – and there you have it, fate!,” said Andy from Asgard Storage.

The Asgard x 12 shed is an epically sized bike shed.

This 14-foot shed is perfect for professional riders or those like schools who want to store multiple bikes and equipment all together in a safe and secure manner, the company reports.

Made from Galvanised steel, the weatherproof Gladiator bike shed x 12 was perfect for Dixons Academy.

This tough bike shed is Police and insurance-recognised thanks to the tough construction and security features such as 5-point deadbolt locking, reinforced doors and ultra-tough inside-out construction.

Asgard bike storage is different, as each bike store has an integral metal base, ventilated panels to reduce condensation and provision to add electrics for charging batteries and riding equipment.

A positive impact

“This is a fantastic partnership between Asgard & the Brownlee Foundation project,” said Alfie Hosker, Secured by Design.

“I know that both parties work unheralded across a number of communities and I am delighted that on this occasion they have come together to help out to provide bikes and storage at schools in Leeds.

“I know this will be greatly appreciated to all those concerned.”
