Chief constable in contract extension

Nick Adderley is to remain as Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police for another two years after his current contract expires next year.

Mr Adderley’s contract is to be extended until at least August 2025.

Northamptonshire’s police, fire and crime commissioner Stephen Mold said he is still the “right person to remain at the helm” to deliver the improvement programme already underway.

New figures show Northamptonshire Police is the only force in England and Wales to have reported a fall in overall crime recorded in the 12 months to June 2022.
