Corps Consult‘s Executive Director, Mike Bluestone MA CSyP FSyl, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Fire & Security Matters Awards.

Bluestone was selected by a panel of industry experts who recognised his invaluable long-term contribution to the security industry and his significant input over many years to the elevation of training standards.

Bluestone was presented the prestigious award at the Coventry Building Society Arena, where over 700 fire and security professionals gathered to celebrate innovative achievements and excellence in the fire and security industries.

“We could not be prouder”

“Mike’s long-term dedication to the security industry makes him well deserving of this prestigious award,” said Mike Bullock, CEO, Corps Security.

“We could not be prouder of his achievements.”

His career spans across three decades.

He received an MA in Security Management from Loughborough University and he founded the Central Academy of Security Excellence (CASE), where he pioneered security training courses.

His expertise was further recognised in 2011 when he was among the first applicants to be registered as a Chartered Security Professional (CSyP).

Today, Bluestone advises public and private sectors on security risk and resilience, drafts security policies, conducts security reviews and delivers strategic security solutions and training as part of Corps Consult’s offering.

He also contributes to the development of security standards and practices in his capacity as emeritus chair of the Security Institute and as the volunteer registrar of the Register of Chartered Security Professionals.

Corps Security was also highly commended at the Fire & Security Matters Awards for the Security Guarding Company of the Year Award, for upholding a high standard of security guarding.

“I am deeply honoured to have received this award,” said Bluestone.

“I have had so many amazing opportunities and experiences over the years that have led to this moment, and I am grateful for the support and collaboration of so many colleagues along the way.
