Facial recognition solutions provider Corsight AI have recently welcomed Dr Maya Dillon as VP of Growth and Innovation.
With a degree in Astrophysics and a dedication to making science and technology more accessible for women and ethnic minorities, Dr Dillon joins the Corsight team prepared to spearhead how facial recognition can be deployed as a force for good.
Dr Dillon has an impressively diverse professional background, at first pursuing a career in academia before moving into the corporate world. After retraining as a data scientist, she has worked on some of the world’s leading AI projects. Now VP for Growth and Innovation at Corsight, Dr Dillon is focused on ensuring the company continues on its path to becoming the most ethical facial recognition solutions provider.
Responsible for new business development and looking to improve Corsight’s awareness in multiple verticals, she will also be working alongside newly appointed CPO and ex-Surveillance Camera Commissioner Tony Porter to ensure the technology evolves and is applied correctly.
“Some people believe that facial recognition is a technology which removes people’s civil liberties, but we are making ourselves accountable and being very transparent in how we utilise and apply this ground-breaking technology”, comments Dr Dillon.
