The Criminal Records Office is still suffering disruption a month after a cyber-attack.
The CRO is vital as it provides records to police and acts as a clearing house for authorities such as emigration.
The organisation was hit on March 21 and despite an increase in staff numbers, delays still persist.
A statement said: “We are working with the relevant authorities, including the National Cyber Security Centre, to investigate and remediate the incident.”
Anecdotally, on social media, users were facing long delays.
