This year’s theme for AUCSO (Association of University Chief Security Officers) Conference 2024, the 40th annual conference, has been announced as Unveiling the Added Value of Security Services.
The conference will take place from Monday 8 April to Wednesday 10 April 2024 at the University of Liverpool and will be hosted by Andrew Molloy, AUCSO member and Head of Campus Support Services.
The programme which includes keynote speakers is currently being finalised and will be announced very soon.
“We are very much looking forward to our 40th Annual Conference – it will be great to see colleagues and friends – and meet new ones too,” said Julie Barker, AUCSO Chief Operating Officer.
“We are excited to announce our detailed programme in due course which focuses on our theme on the added value our security services deliver to our communities.”
Last year the Conference saw record attendance of over 250 worldwide delegates from Australia, USA, Europe and South Africa, alongside AUCSO members and guests and 45 industry exhibitors.
There will be a Welcome Reception and Exhibitors Fayre on the Monday evening in the Conference Centre and a Networking Evening is planned for the Tuesday evening to be held at Anfield, the home of Liverpool Football Club.
The evening will include a tour of the stadium and the opportunity for delegates to have their photograph taken with a winning trophy and enjoy a visit from a football legend.
The Black Tie Gala Dinner and Awards Evening will take place on the Wednesday evening at The Lutyens Crypt and Treasury at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. The winners of the AUCSO Awards will be announced at the Gala Dinner.
