Disklok, which produces robust steering wheel locks for cars and light commercial vehicles, has renewed its membership with the police Secured by Design (SBD) initiative.

A full cover steering wheel security lock for cars and light commercial vehicles, Disklok is understood to have a long and proven history of outstanding performance, tried and tested against would-be car thieves, professional independent security testers and authorities.

The Disklok range now includes trade marked Diamonite material which can resist angle grinders – a popular attack method in recent years. “Thanks to this material, Disklok now boasts the world’s only Sold Secure Diamond accredited steering wheel lock for the ultimate security,” said the company.

Secured by Design thrilled to be working with Disklok

The reinforced, all steel construction makes the Disklok an extreme deterrent with its high visibility and reputation for durability. It is able to spin on the wheel when attacked, preventing steering and damage to the vehicle’s own steering wheel lock. The Disklok also helps to prevent airbag theft from modern vehicles and deter the electronic theft of modern vehicles.

Hazel Goss, Secured by Design, said: “It has been a pleasure to renew Secured by Design membership with Disklok , who have been members with us since 2018. They offer excellent vehicle protection products, steering wheel locks and RFID pouches for keyless cars.

“I’m looking forward to many more years working alongside them”.

Matt Higginson, Disklok, commented: “The long-term partnership with SBD facilitates our joint endeavours with the country’s police forces to combat vehicle theft. The annual ATLAS show provides a particularly strong opportunity for networking and is a great event for steering out efforts”.
