Respected distributor Quality Essential Distribution (QED) has appointed a new junior account manager using the local job centre.
Michael Hooley, 30, was hired after QED worked with the Jobcentre Plus in Chorley, Lancashire.
QED’s Sales Director, Ian Garden said: “When I interviewed Michael, I was immediately impressed with his bubbly personality and the confidence he resonated.

Former retail worker Michael, from Chorley, said: “I couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter in my career. Coming from a background of working in retail, sales is a brand-new industry to me, but I’m looking forward to bringing my skills and knowledge to this new role and showcase what I can do.’’
He added that he realised through his research that QED “truly value” their employees.

A QED spokesman said: “This is a role we were looking forward to fill and we wanted to find the perfect addition to our sales team to help the company achieve its ambitions and sales growth.
“For the first time, we worked with Chorley Jobcentre Plus to help us on our search. This is when they introduced us to Michael.
