According to the company, the Red Dot Award is one of the world’s most renowned distinctions for product design.

Key evaluation criteria is said to include a degree of innovation, formal quality, functionality and longevity.

DoorBird has reported that the D31x series particularly impressed the jury with its reduced aesthetic and its system architecture consistently tailored to professional applications.

Designed for durability

The DoorBird D31x series was reportedly specifically developed for use in large residential and commercial properties.

Thanks to its scalable system architecture, it is said to be suitable today for installations with up to 3,000 units, meeting the highest requirements in terms of planning reliability and investment protection.

The company has articulated that from a design perspective, the D31x series offers extensive customisation options: The integrated 7‑inch touch display can be individually configured; the door stations themselves are available in portrait or landscape format, for flush or surface mounting, and in more than 50 colours and finishes.
