Paul Haynes, B2B Sales Lead, Europe at Ring provides more details about its work with installers and communities.

How has Ring adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic?

During the pandemic, our daily routines moved inside and our homes had to work even harder for us. Like many others, we’ve been working remotely, but this hasn’t stopped us from always innovating on behalf of our customers. That’s why we’ve continued focusing on building effective security solutions that empower our customers to secure their homes and protect what matters most.

Last year, we introduced radar technology to our product line with the launch of two new premium devices: Video Doorbell Pro 2 and Floodlight Cam Wired Pro. We also launched Video Doorbell Wired, our most affordable wired doorbell yet and even developed the Alarm Outdoor Siren in response to direct customer feedback.

We’ve been humbled to hear feedback from our customers about how they have relied on our devices during the pandemic, from facilitating safe, contactless deliveries during work calls to staying connected through video or Live View check-ins.

What is Ring doing to support UK installers?

We’re supporting UK installers by providing them with in-depth knowledge to help advise their customers on which Ring solutions would best meet their needs. This knowledge will help installers to guide their customers through the process and guarantees great customer service.

Our Ring Professional Programme offers product training videos and materials through our portal to educate installers about our products, how to install them and the benefits for customers. Members also receive a direct line to the Ring team for installation advice. What’s more, the programme is completely free to join.

Can you tell us more about the Ring Professional Programme?

Ring Professional Programme is specially designed to educate professional installers on Ring’s products, including installation and customer benefits. When you join Ring Professional Programme, you’ll receive a welcome pack with all the information about Ring and the programme.

The programme gives installers access to exclusive updates and training materials as well as 24/7 access to the Ring team for informed advice on installing and configuring Ring products for their customers. Programme members also receive a 40% discount, Ring merchandise and a certification when they complete the training.

How important is it to Ring to help build secure communities?

Ring’s mission is to make neighbourhoods safer, so we’re committed to making home security convenient and accessible for everyone. Our video doorbells, security cameras and alarm systems come in at a range of price points to suit every type of home. No matter your property type or your budget – we all deserve to feel safe in our home and community.

While a lot of customers are familiar with smart home devices, many just feel more comfortable having a professional handle the setup of their security system to ensure that everything is installed in the most efficient way for them. That’s why Ring is a great option for installers who want to provide their customers with simple whole-home security that’s tailored to their needs.

What are your plans for the next 12 months?

We’re looking forward to working with more installers across the UK this year, to further advise them on Ring’s wide range of whole home security devices and help them to offer trusted, informed support to their customers.

Although I can’t comment on the roadmap for future product launches, what I can say is that Ring will continue to make product decisions that empowers our customers with an affordable way to secure their homes. We’re always appreciative of customer and installer feedback and it goes a long way to guiding our decisions on future products and launches.
