G4S Secure Solutions UK (SSUK) has won a new multi-million pound UK government contract.
It is to provide Front of House and Security Services at a number of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) buildings in London and the South East, including its London base at King Charles Street.
The Crown Commercial Services (CCS) awarded G4S SSUK the two-year contract, which will start on 1 June 2023.
Eddie Hirst, Business Development Director Major Projects for G4S SSUK, said: “This is a significant win for G4S in the UK, and an amazing opportunity for us to work on behalf of one of the great offices of state. As part of this contract, we will be able to utilise a number of specialisms as and when the FCDO requires our assistance.”
Staff with the current contractor can take a transfer over to the new provider, subject to security checks.
A G4S statement said: “Those who do TUPE to G4S SSUK will benefit from access to professional development opportunities during their working hours, including webinars, training courses and knowledge-sharing sessions for industry leaders via the G4S Academy.”
Eddie Hannah, the FCDO’s Head of Estate Operations and Chief Engineer, said: “We are glad to be partnering with G4S for this new contract, and look forward to a productive working relationship.”
