Globecast, a global solutions provider for media, has announced that it has achieved the ISO 27001 security certification for its Sainte-Assise teleport, located near Paris. It has also achieved the ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications.
The teleport forms a key part of Globecast’s global connectivity network, alongside its teleports in LA and London, its Media Centres in Singapore, London and LA and offices around the world.
Globecast recently also announced that it has successfully received security assessment from Trusted Partner Network (TPN) across its Asian, UK and French operations, including TPN renewal of its Digital Cinema business in France.
Renaud Presty, Security Director with Globecast, remarked: “Gaining ISO 27001 certification for our Sainte-Assise teleport is a key part of the continuously increasing security efforts across the whole company. It has established itself as an essential reference in terms of security and is a core part of conversations with existing and potential customers.
“Above all, it defines a methodological framework by building a Security Management System, the objective of which is the continuous improvement of the security of our systems. Achieving ISO 27001 is a major achievement and required very diligent work, understanding precisely what work we had to do to meet the requirement and implement those changes across all security aspects, including, of course, IT.
“We have also developed an ongoing action plan to ensure absolute compliance. Alongside our recent TPN certifications, we have achieved a powerful, market-leading position when it comes to every aspect of security across today’s hyper-connected world. This is vital for customer confidence, especially given the volume and importance of the content that we handle daily.”
