Gunnebo Entrance Control

Gunnebo Entrance Control has achieved ISO 27001 certification, marking a milestone in its dedication to information security excellence.

ISO 27001 – the world’s best-known standard for information security management systems (ISMS) – defines the requirements for compliance and provides valuable guidance for creating, delivering, monitoring and evolving the management of risks whilst keeping owned data protected, the company reports.

Digital operations

“Companies are increasingly transitioning to digital operations to support security and in entrance control, the need for protection of digital assets and customer data is critical,” said Michel Van Damme, IT Director at Gunnebo Entrance Control.

“This is not only to be compliant with the latest legislation but also as a duty of care responsibility.

“It requires a transparent process to assess information security risks, with controls and processes and embedded information security management across an organisation.

“It’s something we have committed to on a global scale and being awarded ISO 27001 in recognition it’s a great accomplishment for Gunnebo Entrance Control.”

ISO 27001 mandates a systematic examination of information security risks and the establishment, implementation and maintenance of security measures to ensure a safe and secure digital environment for customers and partners.

A proactive approach

“This is a great achievement for the team and one Gunnebo Entrance Control is particularly proud, to demonstrate our commitment to innovation, data protection and compliance,” added Howard Lang, President at Gunnebo Entrance Control.

“As the value of information continues to rise, Gunnebo Entrance Control remains highly aware of the risks associated with data compromise or theft.

“ISO 27001 certification underscores our commitment to overcoming issues proactively with smart solutions, ensuring the highest level of security for our clients and stakeholders.”
