Hanwha Vision unveils X Series Plus with enhanced data

Hanwha Vision has announced the launch of the 2nd Generation X Series Plus, a line-up that prioritises user convenience and operational efficiency.

By combining the Wisenet 9 SoC with a modular architecture, the X Series Plus is designed to streamline the entire product lifecycle from rapid installation to effortless maintenance.

Seamless interchangeability

The X Series Plus is said maximise onsite efficiency through its magnetic modular structure.

According to the company, this design significantly reduces installation time and improves safety for technicians.

Hanwha Vision has articulated that most importantly, it is fully compatible with existing 1st Generation Wisenet X Series Plus modular components, allowing current users to upgrade to the latest 2nd generation technology simply by swapping the camera module and dome cover.

This seamless interchangeability is said to drastically lowers labour costs and the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

High-quality video and accurate data processing

At the core of the X Series Plus is the Wisenet 9 AI engine, featuring a dedicated Dual NPU.

By allocating independent resources to image enhancement and AI analytics, the camera is said to ensure both functions perform at their peak – with analytics capable of detecting objects in near real time.

This can allow for high-quality video and accurate data processing to occur simultaneously without any impact on system stability.

The X Series Plus operating 24/7

Built for steady 24/7 operation, the X Series Plus reportedly includes Dual SD card slots for data redundancy and multiple power support including DC 12V, PoE, and PoE+.

According to the company, a standout feature is the extended IR distance, where powering the camera with PoE+ increases the IR distance to 50m (164ft).

This is said to be a significant upgrade from the 30m (98ft) provided by standard PoE, ensuring superior long-range visibility at night.

Additionally, integrated case tampering detection triggers an instant alarm if dome cover is loosened to safeguard critical data and ensure continuous system stability.

Smarter energy, stronger performance

Hanwha Vision’s Eco Mode, powered by WisePower ECO and WiseStream technologies, is designed to significantly reduce energy consumption while maintaining uncompromised security performance.

Hanwha Vision’s WisePower technology is said to dynamically adjust power usage based on IR illumination requirements, optimising energy consumption while maintaining clear visibility in low-light and complete darkness.

WiseStream, Hanwha Vision’s bandwidth reduction technology, reportedly leverages AI-based object detection to apply higher compression to non-AI objects and background areas, while preserving maximum image quality for relevant objects such as people and vehicles.

This intelligent, selective compression can significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without impacting evidential detail where it matters most.

Certified data security

Security is said to be a standard feature in the X Series Plus, which meets the rigorous FIPS 140-3 Level 3 standard.

This reportedly ensures that all captured data is protected by high-level cybersecurity protocols, meeting the strict requirements of government and corporate sectors for data privacy and network integrity.

To further strengthen transparency and cyber-resilience, Hanwha Vision has stated that it also provides a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), offering full visibility into the software components within our devices.

This can enable customers to proactively manage vulnerabilities, support compliance requirements, and maintain greater control over their cybersecurity posture.
