A free crime prevention toolkit for retailers has reportedly been designed at the request of the Home Office, through a collaboration between the National Business Crime Centre (NBCC) and Police Crime Prevention Initiatives (Police CPI).
The toolkit aims to provide useful information and guidance to support businesses in keeping safe from crime and helping to prevent crime impacting staff.
The toolkit includes the following information:
Lisa Maslen, Superintendent, City of London Police said: “I am delighted that this course and toolkit that have been produced are now available.
“They will be an invaluable resource for retailers and policing colleagues in our bid to tackle retail crime together.
“Keeping those who work in retail and our communities safe by disrupting retail crime remains the NBCCs priority, this toolkit will go a long way to help deliver that.”
Police CPI were reportedly funded by the Home Office to provide crime prevention expertise, advice and assistance on delivery of crime prevention interventions, to all Safer Streets Fund projects being delivered by Policing, Police and Crime Commissioners and Local Authorities.
