i-PRO has announced that it is in the final stage of obtaining the ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its Artificial Intelligence (AI) management systems.
The company claims that once completed, this certification will make i-PRO the first company in the physical security industry to reach this level of ethical AI governance, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, accountability and security in AI deployment.
The certification process involved a comprehensive independent audit conducted by the British Standards Institute (BSI), which assessed i-PRO’s AI management practices across its product development, deployment, and operational workflows.
Published in December 2023 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), ISO/IEC 42001 is the international standard for AI management systems.
It sets best practices for the ethical development and use of AI systems, focusing on risk management, transparency, accountability and continuous improvement—the key elements in building trustworthy AI.
