ICT has appointed Piotr Rek as Sales Director for the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region.
According to the company, the CEE region represents a significant opportunity for growth, innovation and deeper engagement with partners across Europe.
Rek’s appointment is said to emphasise ICT’s commitment to strengthening regional support, expanding its partner network and delivering enterprise-grade solutions through strong local relationships.
He brings nearly 20 years’ experience across the electronic security, building automation and public safety sectors.
For the past decade, he served as COO at CDVI Polska, where he led regional sales strategy, expanded distribution channels and introduced advanced access and automation solutions across Central and Eastern Europe.
Rek has also played an influential role in national safety initiatives: He served on the Parliamentary Committee for the “Third Signal” project, an initiative aimed at improving road and rail safety through FM-based early-warning systems.
He additionally contributed to a Prime Minister’s Chancellery (KPRM) working group focused on legal and regulatory frameworks to support the certification and commercial deployment of this technology in Poland.
“Piotr brings a powerful combination of regional expertise, strategic leadership and deep knowledge of the access control ecosystem,” said Thomas Napora, Vice President and General Manager of EMEA, ICT.
“His appointment marks an important step in strengthening ICT’s presence across Central and Eastern Europe.
“With Piotr leading the region, we are confident in our ability to accelerate growth, deepen partnerships and deliver the high level of support and innovation our customers expect.
“The future of the CEE market is incredibly promising and Piotr will play a pivotal role in shaping that trajectory.”
In his new role, Rek will oversee ICT’s growth strategy and partner development across the broad CEE region, including Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Greece, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus and Kosovo.
“CEE is one of the fastest-growing security markets in Europe,” added Rek. “Protege GX’s flexibility, open architecture, and full compliance with all European security grades make it ideal for this region.
“I’m looking forward to pairing ICT’s global innovation with strong local partnerships to deliver measurable value to our partners.”
