Security Journal UK looks ahead to IFSEC International 2022 as it returns to ExCeL London this May.
With a strong focus on innovation and collaboration – and after almost three years apart – IFSEC returns in-person to London from 17-19 May for what is set to be a major gathering of international security professionals.
Continuing its long standing partnerships with organisations such as the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), the Security Systems Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB) and The Security Institute, this much-anticipated event is set to once again showcase exceptionally high standards and professional competence to all.
Industry professionals will have the opportunity to reconnect with the entire security buying chain, including manufacturers and vendors, distributors, installers, integrators, consultants and end users.
What’s going on in 2022?
The LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) Attack Testing Zone returns to IFSEC International to showcase live test sessions carried out by professionals from the team to demonstrate the effectiveness of some of the most robust physical security equipment in the industry.
Visitors will have the opportunity to witness LPCB/BRE professional forced entry specialists testing a wide range of physical security products from Frontier Pitts Ltd, Barkers Fencing, Jacksons Fencing, Sunray Engineering, CLD Fencing Systems, Squire – Henry Squire & Sons Ltd and more throughout the three days.
The Converged Security Centre will feature an exclusive demonstration of how physical security and information technology fuse to provide a holistic solution. Visitors will have an opportunity to see, hear and experience the technology in real time and meet with the innovators and experts behind the technology.
In addition, the Engineers of Tomorrow competition takes place at IFSEC & FIREX this year and the winners of regional heats will compete in a live installation challenge at the show. The competition involves two separate areas – one for electronic security systems and the other for fire systems. Apprentice finalists will get the chance to show off their skills in front of thousands of peers and professionals from the security and fire sectors.
IFSEC & FIREX Training, a live installer training, comes to IFSEC & FIREX for the first time to support efforts to raise competency and close the skills gap in security and fire. Installers, integrators and engineers will be able to attend accredited and in-depth training sessions from a mix of training providers and expert vendors on video surveillance, access control, fire alarm systems and plenty more.
IFSEC & FIREX training has received a wide range of backing from across the sector, with support coming from the BSIA, Fire Industry Association (FIA), SSAIB, National Security Inspectorate (NSI) and Skills for Security.
