Fotech, a bp Launchpad company and pioneer in fibre enabled Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) technology, has appointed Joyce Lamy as Strategic Partnerships Manager. This role has been newly created as part of Fotech’s commitment to developing strategic partnerships and alliances. Joyce will be instrumental in implementing this strategy.

Maria Shiao, Chief Sales Office at Fotech, says: “We value strategic partners and they are key to our ambitious growth plans. Joyce has exceptional credentials, with over 20 years’ experience in the telecoms, IT and renewables sectors. She has previously held similar roles at Cisco, AT&T and Renewable Energy Storage Solutions and is the perfect person to establish our partnerships in the infrastructure, pipelines and security industries. We are delighted she has joined the team!”

Fotech is transforming its business value proposition by engaging with technology and solutions partners. In her new role, Joyce will be responsible for defining and implementing Fotech’s partnership strategy and structure, as well as creating the framework that will enable scale-up of the company’s ecosystem. She will be managing selected global partnerships and will play an advisor role to the partner-facing teams at Fotech.

Lamy says: “Working with strategic partners is incredibly rewarding and this is an exciting time to be joining Fotech. It’s a role I will relish, not least because a significant part of our future growth will be in the renewables sector, giving Fotech an opportunity to be part of the global energy transition, which will contribute towards a more sustainable future.”

Joyce holds an MSc in Solar Energy Production and Building Energy Management from Université Savoie Mont Blanc, France, as well as a BSc in Electronic Engineering from Staffordshire University, England.
