Kwikset and DoorBird have announced the integration of Kwikset’s Halo smart locks with the DoorBird app.
This collaboration reportedly brings together two industry innovators with the aim of delivering a more convenient and secure home access experience.
With this integration, residents are said to be able to remotely unlock their Kwikset Halo locks from within the DoorBird app, during a live video call with a visitor – all with a simple tap of a button.
This seamless experience is said to not only save time, but add a new level of control, eliminating the need to switch between apps or interrupt the conversation.
Furthermore, it is said to work natively, with no hub required, by leveraging your existing home Wi-Fi network.

The companies have reported that security and privacy is prioritised, with encrypted communication and robust authentication protocols.
Unlike other solutions that may introduce delays, the collaboration is said to optimise instant interactions, ensuring smooth and efficient performance.
Residents are also said to be able to easily activate the feature through the DoorBird app by linking their Kwikset Halo account.
