Q: Security screening is changing rapidly, what do you see as the biggest shift taking place today?
The biggest shift is that organisations are increasingly focusing on operational outcomes rather than individual technologies.
Security teams are under pressure to protect more while managing higher throughput, labour constraints and increasing expectations around customer experience.
As a result, the industry is recognising that security effectiveness is delivered by the entire screening system, not just individual components.

AI has an important role to play, but not because it replaces people.

AI can help manage those volumes, identify anomalies, and reduce repetitive tasks, creating a more scalable and consistent screening model.
Q: Are you seeing this change in real-world deployments?
Absolutely. High-footfall environments such as visitor attractions, places of worship, and transport hubs increasingly require security solutions that maintain both protection and throughput without introducing airport-style queues.

Seeing it move from concept to operational deployment across major venues and distribution centres has been incredibly rewarding and has shown that the same platform can perform effectively across very different operational environments.
Ultimately, I believe the future belongs to solutions that can deliver security, throughput, and user experience simultaneously.
