LockRite celebrates record franchise growth across locksmithing

LockRite Locksmiths has enjoyed a standout year, with 13 new franchisees joining the brand in exclusive UK territories over the last 12 months – a growth rate of more than one new locksmith launched every month.

For a network built on quality, trust and the highest professional standards, it’s a milestone that reflects just how far that commitment has taken LockRite, and the franchisees who have chosen the brand as their business partner.

A brand which continues to lead in the UK

Spanning both domestic and automotive locksmith services, the 13 new locksmiths selected to represent the LockRite brand reflect a vote of confidence in the LockRite business model.

From former tradespeople looking to build their own protected business, to entrepreneurs drawn by the brand strength, speed of startup and the support on offer, the calibre of incoming franchisees has been outstanding.

Notably, two of those 13 new locksmiths have already received LockRite’s “Franchisee of the Month” award, underlining the quality of the training, the efficiency of the launch process and also the suitability of the franchisees themselves – who are rapidly establishing their reputation and making an impact in their territories.

With more locksmiths set to launch imminently, that number will continue to rise, making this one of the most successful periods of growth in LockRite’s history.

Franchisees making their mark

Among the standout new franchisees are Alan Davies in Herefordshire and Colin Virgo in Brighton and Hove.

Both have already been recognised as “Franchisees of the Month” and have made an impressive start with exceptional turnover levels and an impressive work ethic, that has seen them establish themselves in their local areas remarkably quickly and praised extensively in online reviews.

They are both excellent examples of what dedication, and the right support network can achieve.

Chris Grygonis, LockRite’s Exeter Locksmith, is the most recent franchisee to launch, bringing professional and trustworthy domestic and commercial locksmith services to the city.

He’s enjoying a strong start and carrying out work for Yale and several other commercial clients already, with this month set to be his busiest yet.

Grygonis has also received numerous online reviews, all of them five-star, with customers praising his prompt response, professionalism, clear communication and tidy workmanship.

His early progress reflects both the demand for reliable locksmith services in Exeter and the strength of the support available to new franchisees joining the LockRite network.

Momentum behind LockRite Auto builds

LockRite Auto

Byron Dean is the latest franchisee to join LockRite’s growing automotive division, launching across the Preston, Blackpool and Blackburn area.

His presence strengthens LockRite Auto’s coverage in the North West and reinforces the network’s growing reputation in the vehicle locksmith sector.

The demand for auto locksmith services continues to surge across the country and demand greatly outstrips supply at the present time.

LockRite Auto, the only auto locks franchise package currently on offer in the UK, is now on-target to offer a fully joined-up service to satisfy this national demand, within the next 18 months.

Existing franchisee progression

LockRite’s recent momentum is not only being driven by new franchisees entering the network, but also by existing franchisees investing further in their businesses.

To give some excellent examples of the developmental journey available within the LockRite family:

  • Ian Falls launched as a domestic & commercial locksmith in Chelmsford in December 2024. Twelve months later, Falls had completed LockRite Auto’s automotive training programme and achieved “IMI accreditation” through it – a recognised industry standard that demonstrates professional competence in automotive locksmithing. He was then able to add auto locksmith services to his business, including vehicle entry, spare and replacement car keys, car key programming and more, broadening both his offering and his earning potential.
  • Jordan Gilbert has been trading since 2019 and recently invested in LockRite Auto too, expanding from his existing domestic locksmith business to offer automotive services to his customers. Gilbert’s move reflects the opportunities available to established franchisees looking to diversify and grow within the LockRite model. It’s the kind of growth story that makes the LockRite model such an attractive proposition.

These kinds of progression stories highlight the flexibility of the franchise and the ability for locksmiths to develop their businesses over time as demand and skills evolve.

“What makes us proudest isn’t just the numbers”

Philip Hargreaves, Managing Director, LockRite commented: “To welcome more than one new franchisee every single month is a real testament to the strength of our model and, more importantly, the quality of the people choosing to build their businesses with us.

“What makes us proudest isn’t just the numbers – it’s seeing franchisees like Al and Colin establish themselves so rapidly, and watching Ian and Jordan invest back into their businesses and grow.

“That’s exactly what LockRite was built for.”

Philip Hargreaves, Managing Director

Looking ahead

With 13 launches recently completed and several more on the immediate horizon, LockRite continues to build a “critical mass” of momentum across both its domestic and automotive divisions, which gives the brand an enviable reputation within the industry.

Focussed effort & foresight in previous years has allowed LockRite to gain many impressive industry accreditations, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, CHAS, Constructionline and Altius, which have qualified the brand to tender for & win a large portfolio of corporate and “household name” clients.

These clients supply the LockRite franchisees with a daily pipeline of guaranteed and regular work, along with dominant internet positioning online, to generate daily domestic sector jobs.

With the franchisees mentioned already making their mark, the impressive, continued development of the LockRite brand, reveals a business model which is experiencing “runaway” organic growth, whilst deliberately maintaining the highest standards across the UK locksmith sector.

The network is growing, the standards are high and the future looks very bright.
