The Security Event

The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) has announced its return as an official event partner at The Security Event, which takes place on 30 April – 2 May at the NEC in Birmingham.

The Security Event is set to attract over 14,000 visitors, showcase over 350 exhibitors and will host an extensive seminar programme, offering visitors industry insights and technological advancements.

What to expect?

On Tuesday 30 April at 3pm, NSI reports it will host an exclusive networking drinks reception for NSI approved companies at stand 5/F140 and on Wednesday 1 May will lead two sessions in the Security Leaders Summit:

‘Cyber Preparedness and the new national regulation for security systems: What does this mean?’

Presented by: Matthew Holliday, Director of Technical Services & Field Operations

Time: Wednesday 1 May at 16:00

Holliday will discuss the impact of cyber security on the security and fire sectors, addressing the responsibilities of installing and maintaining organisations, as well as product considerations and customer touchpoints.

A long-term supporter

“The Security Event is a cornerstone gathering for security and fire safety organisations of all sizes, established or newly formed and as a long term supporter we are delighted to return as an Event Partner,” said Richard Fogelman, CEO, NSI.

“Visitors to the NSI stand will receive a warm welcome where our team will be on hand to discuss the range of benefits companies gain from choosing NSI as their certification body and to provide guidance on the certification process, schemes and Standards.

“I would also encourage those in the security services and installer communities to listen to Clare and Matthew’s sessions in the Security Leaders Summit on 1 May – they won’t disappoint.

“We look forward to welcoming and reconnecting with both old and new industry colleagues.”
