Regula provides mobile identity verification with new reader

Regula has announced the release of its new Regula 7320 mobile document reader – a compact device for identity verification outside stationary checkpoints.

According to the company, in the field, verification workflows often remain fragmented.

Officers must manually re-enter or transfer data, operate with limited power or connectivity and rely on tools that do not integrate into centralised systems.

All this creates delays, inconsistencies and security gaps.

The new Regula 7320 reportedly eliminates these issues by bringing border-grade verification, full autonomy and native ecosystem integration to any location – even without network access.

It performs full identity verification on the spot, reading and validating ID data, checking document authenticity and performing face matching, then aligning every result with centralised policies and workflows via the Regula IDV Platform.

Designed for critical operations

Regula says that the new solution enables teams to:

  • Verify in various conditions and locations: Perform full document verification (including RFID reading and validation), facial matching and fingerprint capture in the field, ensuring high reliability even in remote or restricted zones
  • Automate workflows: Once verification is completed offline or online, the device automatically synchronises all structured and validated data with back-office systems via the Regula IDV Platform. This eliminates manual re-entry, enables instant processing of cases and ensures every identity record is logged and consistent. The result: faster decision-making, fewer errors and end-to-end automation across the entire identity lifecycle
  • Build seamless environments: Integrate with existing Regula infrastructure or third-party databases for automated AML (anti-money laundering) or PEP (politically exposed persons) checks, data extraction and reporting, thus minimising manual work and complex integrations

Technical excellence

The company emphasises that the Regula 7320 merges optics, lighting and extended power capacity to ensure uncompromised verification performance.

“The Regula 7320 turns field verification from an isolated task into part of an integrated ecosystem,” said Alex Lewanowicz, Director of Hardware Engineering at Regula.

“By merging document, biometric and data verification into one connected workflow, it enables organisations to cut costs, reduce verification times and strengthen trust across every touchpoint of the identity lifecycle.

“This upgrade also empowers organisations to address long-standing challenges like limited mobility, fragmented tools and complex integrations.”
