SGC Security Services has announced its latest partnership with University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), a UK teaching hospital.
The partnership, which commenced on 1 July 2026, brings together the Trust’s longstanding commitment to the safety and wellbeing of patients, visitors and staff with SGC’s experience of working in complex healthcare environments.
Under the partnership, SGC said that it is responsible for delivering security services across the Trust’s hospital sites.
SGC will continue to work closely with UHS to maintain high standards of security and safeguarding, helping to support the smooth operation of hospital services and a positive experience across the Trust.
According to SGC, this partnership reflects a shared ambition to continually enhance patient experience, support staff wellbeing and ensure security services evolve in line with the Trust’s wider objectives through a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

A strong emphasis will be placed on partnership working, with SGC and Trust teams collaborating closely to ensure services remain aligned to the evolving needs of a busy NHS hospital environment.

SGC explained that as a company, it is committed to supporting training, professional development, safeguarding responsibilities and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring officers are equipped, confident and supported in their roles.
This includes maintaining awareness of safeguarding procedures, recognising and responding to concerns and helping to create a safe environment.
According to the company, this reflects the vital contribution security colleagues make to customer experience, safety and staff wellbeing across the hospital.
