SBD is the only way for companies to obtain police recognition for security-related products in the UK. There are currently many hundreds of member companies producing thousands of attack resistant crime prevention products, across 30 different crime categories.
SBD plays a significant role in the planning process to design out crime in a wide range of building sectors, achieving undeniable success, including one million homes built to SBD standards, with reductions in crime of up to 87%.
Their undeniable role in crime prevention can be further witnessed within their product-based accreditation scheme known as Police Preferred Specification (PPS) that successfully provides a recognised standard for all security products that can deter and reduce crime.

SBD is a great tool for homeowners when looking to upgrade their security, especially during the current trend for home renovations.”
SIEGENIA represent and produce effective anti-intruder protected products, that are manufactured using high-quality material, making their windows practically impossible to pry open. Their products also provide additional modern benefits, including interlocking elements with secure mushroom shape, anti-intruder protection up to resistance class RC3 and monitoring via an app or integration in a central alarm system.

SBD also maintains close links with standards authorities and certification bodies to ensure it remains up to date with emerging criminal trends.
