Securitas UK has announced that Paul Pickett, Site Supervisor at Airbus has been named Outstanding Security Officer.
Pickett reportedly leads a team at a highly sensitive Facility Security Clearance (FSC) site supporting critical national security operations.
With a 20-year policing background, he is said to bring significant frontline and leadership experience to the role.
Since joining Securitas in 2024, the company reports that he has transformed operational standards, delivering 100% of KPIs in the last quarter – an unprecedented achievement on the account.
According to Securitas, Pickett has enhanced training frameworks, redesigned CCTV systems to improve threat detection and introduced a bespoke visitor management ‘traffic light’ vetting system to protect site integrity without disrupting business continuity.
Pickett has reportedly successfully coordinated security for high-profile visits, including the UK Prime Minister and international dignitaries, drafting full operational security plans within hours of notification.
The company states that his calm professionalism, investigative expertise and commitment to team development have significantly elevated safety, resilience and client confidence at the site.
Pickett’s leadership has been praised by Airbus, with site security leaders highlighting the measurable improvements in reporting accuracy, operational efficiency and overall security culture under his supervision.
