VMS Co. sponsors GB canoeist on road to 2028 Olympics

Video Management Servers (VMS Co.) is proud to join UK Sport and OpenLight Photonics in sponsoring GB canoeist Peter Linksted on his journey to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

After a hard-fought racing series, Peter has earned his place on the 2026 GB senior team. He will compete alongside Adam Burgess, Paris Olympic silver medallist, and Ryan Westley, silver medallist at the 2025 World Championships in Penrith, Australia.

Following a two-week training camp in Oklahoma City during April, the competitive season is underway:

• World Cup 1, Tacen, Slovenia 29-31 May
• World Cup 2, Prague, Czech Republic 5-7 June
• World Cup 3 Augsburg, Germany 12-14 June
• World Championships in Oklahoma City, USA ~21-26 July
• World Cup 4, Paris, France, 3-5 Sept
• World Cup 5, La Seu D’Urgell, Spain 11-13 Sept
• European Championships, Ivrea, Italy 25-27th Sept

Peter said: “Training has been going exceptionally well, and I’m delighted to join Adam and Ryan on the senior GB squad.

“It’s a demanding competition schedule, with the World Championships and World Cups 4 and 5 forming part of the first stage of Britain’s Olympic qualification campaign – a long-term ambition of mine. I’ll finish the season with domestic races to maintain my race fitness.”
