Dudley-based surveillance and security specialist Zicam Integrated Security Limited has seen another year of success in the financial year of 2021 to 2022.
As the financial year draws to a close at the end of April, the company is reflecting on a year of team achievements, digital advancements, and overall growth.
2021 marked Zicam’s 25th anniversary; a milestone celebrated with an event in November, at which Deputy Mayor of Dudley Council Sue Greenaway was in attendance and made a speech to mark the occasion. Throughout the year, news of Zicam’s 25th anniversary has been met with support from the industry, as well as partners and clients.
Zicam offers a range of services, including the installation and upkeep of security gates and other perimeter protection solutions. Along with the success of 2021, with only four months of 2022 passed, the business has already had some notable achievements:
Electric vehicle charging points
2022 saw Zicam introduce a new service into its already established offering. The business now supplies Electric Vehicle charging stations. With the UK government releasing a commitment to climate change by transitioning to zero-emissions vehicles by 2035, this service is something that Zicam is proud to launch. The innovative security specialist is able to offer the full package and work closely with clients to ensure they exceed expectations. Providing design, supply, installation, and maintenance of charging stations.
East Midlands gateway
In March 2022, Zicam partnered with Magnetic and FAACUKLTD – a provider of global physical security solutions to the ever-growing perimeter protection industry – to deliver one of the world’s most advanced safety and security systems at East Midlands Gateway. Zicam was responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the state-of-the-art system as well as continued system support and maintenance. The comprehensive, layered security solution produced for the site puts the safety and security of staff and visitors at the forefront – all aligned and bespoke with the operator’s plan to offer a safe and pleasant experience whilst visiting or working at the logistics centre.
Nomination for Outstanding Performance Award
Zicam is keen to acknowledge and reward its employees and to run the business with a strong culture of recognition. That is why the company nominated Managing Director, Dave Salisbury, for an award – ‘Outstanding In-House Security Manager/Director’ at the 2022 UK Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs). Salisbury went on to become a finalist at the awards.
This year, Zicam was proud to announce that it became a holder of a National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) qualification. Getting the qualification was all about excellence, investment and doing what’s best for its customers. Reputation is something really important to Zicam, so thanks to the NEBOSH qualification, it can show a proven track record for no accidents either at its site or its customers sites.
Another notable achievement for the Dudley-based surveillance and security specialist is perimeter protection – a service that was brought in-house in 2021 – another immense success for the DHF-accredited team of engineers. Perimeter protection comes with a number of challenges – both logistical and legislative – to ensure technologies are installed safely and correctly and maintained to an operational standard for the moments they’re needed most.
With the rest of 2022 set to be just as busy, this Midlands-based business show no signs of slowing down; and pledges to continue providing high-quality security services for companies across the UK.
Zicam prides itself on providing these bespoke security solutions that exceed clients’ requirements, as well as future-proofed system design which enables expansion as client needs develop.
All equipment meets approved industry and legislative standards and complies with ISO 9001:2008, BS50132 & DD243:2002, NSI Gold and local police force policies.
